6. Colours

Here you can add all the colours you desire, everything available on the rainbow spectrum and then some if you wish. Basically if you sell different types of products that require a wide range of variables in colour; you will need to add all possibilities.
Who said “sky blue pink with purple dots” is not a colour. If you want it, add it. This way when you add the items later you simply select the colours from the selection you have already added.

This section could not be simpler. In the space next to “Colour: “type in the colour you wish to add. Let’s add the colour “clear” Click “Add colour” you will see the item listed and also the message;

Colour "Clear" added.

If you wish to delete a colour, find the colour in the list and click “Delete”. The following message will appear:

You are about to delete the colour "Clear".
Do you really want to proceed?

If so, click “proceed” otherwise click “Cancel” and it will return to the previous setting. You may wish to simply update the colour, perhaps a spelling mistake. Let’s say for example you have spelled “Clear” as “cleer” and need to correct it.

On the line where you see “cleer” simply highlight the word using your cursor and type over it with the correct spelling then click the “Rename” button.

You will then see the message:

Colour changed.

The listed colour will now be as you want it. Any changes can be made this same way each time. You might wish for the colours to all be in lower case and you have typed the first letter as a Capital. All changes you make are in real time.

Please note:

If you try to delete a colour that has already been linked to an item you will see the following message if you click the “delete” button:

Sorry, this colour cannot be deleted. There are some items in the store associated with "Purple dots" colour.

In order to delete the colour linked to an item, please refer to section 8. “Item” here you will find simple step by step instructions.

If however you simply need to modify a colour, perhaps the item colour was black & white and the new batch has arrived but they are Blue & White. In this instance you simply highlight the colour you wish to change; type over the corrected name and click on the “Rename” button.

You will again see the message:

Colour changed.
